Atlanta CPA Firm Bennett Thrasher – The Bennett Thrasher Foundation, as part of its annual giving, approved a grant to assist with the expenses to send four very deserving athletes to participate in the Special Olympics World Games. The competition, taking place in Athens, Greece, will begin June 25th and ends July 4th. Chris Currere and Daniel Hester will compete in Power Lifting. Erin Hoffman and Paul Partus will compete in Aquatics. This is the first time Bennett Thrasher has provided a grant to the Special Olympics Georgia Chapter, and certainly will not be the last. Chris Gilligan, President of the Foundation says “When the opportunity was presented to the board to help these athletes compete at the World Games, we were very excited. They will be four of over 7,500 athletes competing and we wish them and their coaches all the best and hope they bring home the gold.” If you would like to follow Team USA and the Georgia athletes during the World Games, you can logon to www.specialolympicsteamusa.org
