Ashley Perry and Haley Chura, both senior associates at Bennett Thrasher, have completed two of the more impressive races on the 2010 worldwide racing calendar.
On October 31, 2010, Ashley Perry, competed in the 2500th anniversary of the Athens Marathon in Greece. It was a celebration of the battle of Marathon in 490 BC and the legendary run by Pheidippides from the Marathon Battlefield to the city of Athens. Ashley set a personal best in finishing this 26.2 mile race!
If the Athens Marathon is the ultimate marathon experience, then there is no bigger day in a triathlete’s year than the annual Ford Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. This 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run was completed by Haley Chura on October 9, 2010. Haley finished 11th in her age group and finished the swim portion with the third best time of all women competing.
Congratulations to both of these BT Track Club members on their impressive accomplishments.
